A Mixture of Emotions

 

Didn't sleep well last night, up before dawn.  Today I have my gall bladder removed.  I have been on an emotional rollercoaster the last few weeks. 

 

It actually started about 3 weeks ago.  I was supposed to have some teeth surgically removed.  I went to my appointment and they hooked me up to do my blood pressure.  They ended up doing about 6 readings because none were under 200/130.  Needless to say, they did not pull my teeth and told me to call my doctor.  This was on a Friday.  I called my doctor and went to see him Monday.  He immediately sent me to the E.R. where they did some tests, gave me some meds and kept me for 6 hours.  Apparently, they didn't find anything in the tests because I never got a phone call.  so, as of right now, we have no idea of what is causing my blood pressure to be so high.  I have a follow up with my Dr. on the 15th.

 

This past week, I have been super nervous about my blood pressure.  Not sure if the medicine is working.  Also a little nervous about the surgery and feeling a little guilty because they scheduled it the day before my daughter's baby shower which I will not be able to attend now.  I would have had them do it another time but that would have meant waiting another month and I have been dealing with this since Christmas.  Needless to say, I am sick and tired of being sick and tired.

 

 



Upcoming Events

 

 

This week is going to be spent getting the house ready and food made for our Memorial Day party.

 

On May 31 I will be having my gall bladder removed so my Etsy shops will be in vacation mode for a while. I will not be able to lift or be on my feet for long periods of time.  On June 1st is my daughters baby shower.  One June 15 is my other daughters baby shower.  Then there is Father's Day.  I am so glad that after 5 years in a row, we have no children graduating.

I wanted to let you all know that I am very sorry for not being here as of late. I have been sick and had a huge order to fulfill. I also have 2 baby showers to plan and a Memorial Day party to plan. To top that all off, my kitchen is being remodeled. I am also going to be opening my photography shop on Etsy soon. I hope to be on a little more now.

I made this Candy Bar Cake this past weekend for a customer from Facebook.  It was a gift from a man to his wife for her birthday.  I am now making a York Candy Bar cake for a woman on Facebook to give to her husband for their anniversary.

Candy Bar Cakes

 

 

 

 

I have not been here in a while.  That is beacasue I have been busy with making afghans for the grandchildren that are on the way.  Also, I have been busy with a little thing called "Facebook Garage Sales".  I have been listing and selling items on these pages.  I listed my candy bar cakes and within a couple of hours I had 2 orders.  I am doing much better selling stuff on Facebook than I do on Etsy. 

 

Below is the York Candy Bar Cake I am making for a woman to give to her husband for their 42nd anniversary.  I am also making a cake with Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Butterfingers and Snickers for a man to give to his wife for her birthday.
